Coronavirus: Appalling quarantine conditions at Pakistan’s Taftan exhibits worst of humanity

Reportedly, Pakistan held pilgrims returnees from Iran at the Taftan border in camps where multiple people were squeezed in and had no basic facilities such as toilets, blankets or towels. Women, children and elderly suffered the same fate. Those held there have complained of animal-like treatment and said they haven’t stayed at a more dirty place ever in their lives.

Many people just want to escape and leave these appalling conditions. It was previously reported that these returnees have now spread across the country and Sindh province’s government made startling revelation that many of these returnees were testing positive.
