How to use Google Assistant on phone other than Pixel

It took Google almost 10 years to realize the importance of producing own hardware. With Pixel phone, Google aims to take on the smartphone market, especially the iPhone. One of the hot features Google is selling is Google Assistant.

This built-in program is apparently taking the internet by storm with everyone talking about it. People seem to think that Google Assistant might be way too efficient as it seems to know “everything” about the users.

This software, however, is exclusive to products with Google hardware. If you’re like me who is not keep to jump on the opportunity to buy a Pixel phone but still want to experience Google Assistant, there is a way around.

Google Assistant without Pixel

Google Assistant also comes with Google’s messaging app Google Allo which is available on both the Play Store and App Store. This is what Google says about it:

Google Allo, the smart messaging app, brings you the Google Assistant, preview edition. Find restaurants to try, share videos and get directions right from your chat with friends. Just add @google, and your Assistant is ready to help. And if you choose, chat one-on-one with your Assistant for flight updates, personal reminders and more.
